GIYF-FFS would like to share email and Facebook massages templates that were created so that others like you might do some fundraising, and save some effort in the process.
Here you can follow 4 easy steps to help raise funds for GIYF-FFS.
Here's the secret: GIYF-FFS sells itself. It's a small organization with low overhead costs creating big results in an area of the world where big results are needed.

We have already created email and Facebook message templates, which you will find below. Simply edit all the information that has been highlighted in yellow and then remove the formatting. Save the updated templates on your computer.

STEP 2: HIT THE SEND BUTTON
Paste Email Template 1 into a new email or Facebook message. Send the email or message to everyone you know that might support this project - friends, family co-workers, acquaintances, etc.
This can be a bit of a time consuming process, however it is important to send this email/message out individually so that people feel that you are personally asking them. If you send out a mass email or message people may delete it believing it to be spam. As you receive donations send a thank you email/message (Email Template 2).
Other ideas:
Use Facebook. Change your status to “'your name' is trying to raise $2,000 for a small not-for-profit in the Philippines. Can you help?" and included a link to this web page.
You could also simply become a fan of the GIYF-FFS Facebook page and invite your network of friends to become fans also.
STEP 3: SEND REMINDER EMAIL/MESSAGE
After a week or two send a reminder email/message (Email Template 3) to anyone that hasn’t given or responded to say they will not be giving.
People get busy… we find that some people don't open the first email/message. A number of people express interest and then didn’t follow through. Some people say they want to donate but forget until a reminder is sent. You will get more donations when you send out a reminder email/message.
STEP 4: SEND UPDATES TO DONORS
Send an update (Email Template 4) to let your donors know the results of your fundraising. They will want to know whether or not you reach your financial goal, and that their money actually reaches GIYF-FFS. Send info about the organization as well, this might inspire someone to send more money or to volunteer.
